How Exclusion Works

1. Free inspection. We inspect accessible exterior areas, crawl spaces and attics, and document the entry points and conditions we find with photos.
2. A clear quote. You get the documented entry-point map and a per-job quote. No hourly meter running.
3. Professional sealing. Copper mesh, hardware cloth, sealant, door sweeps, and vent covers: materials that last, installed right. If activity is current, we verify it's cleared before final sealing. We never seal an animal inside.
4. Documentation. Before-and-after photos and a written record of everything sealed, plus an honest list of anything beyond our scope (like structural repairs), with a recommendation for the right contractor.

Backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. If a point we sealed fails within one year, we come back and fix it at no charge. That's the confidence that comes from doing the work right the first time.

Exclusion pairs naturally with rodent control: bait stations manage the pressure outside, exclusion keeps them out of the house.

Your Exclusion Warranty

Exclusion work is backed by the 1-year workmanship warranty for the points we seal. The written quote identifies those points and any work outside our scope. General pest plan retreatment terms do not replace the exclusion warranty.

The Entry Points That Matter Most

A mouse gets through a gap the size of a dime. A rat needs a quarter. On most homes, the same handful of openings are responsible:

• Garage door corners and worn bottom seals, the single most common way mice get in
• Utility penetrations where water lines, gas lines, electrical and cable enter the structure
• Dryer and bath vents with broken or missing covers
• Gaps at the sill plate where the foundation meets the framing
• Crawl space vents and access doors that no longer seal

Why Exclusion Beats Baiting Forever

Bait and traps deal with the rodents that are already inside or already pressing on the structure. They do not change the fact that the house has an open door. That is why so many rural homeowners run the same cycle every October: mice show up, bait goes out, activity drops, and next fall it happens again.

Exclusion addresses the openings that allow repeat entry and can reduce dependence on ongoing baiting. Sealed points still need attention if damage or new openings develop. Pairing it with rodent control, with bait stations managing the pressure outside and sealed points keeping them out of the house, is what we recommend on most acreages and farm properties.

What Exclusion Does Not Cover

Exclusion is not structural repair. If the inspection finds rotted sill plate, damaged soffit, a failing foundation or roof damage, you will get the photos and a plain explanation that it is beyond our scope, plus a recommendation for the right contractor. The 1-year workmanship warranty covers the points we sealed. It is not a guarantee against new openings appearing somewhere else on the structure, and we will say so at the quote rather than after.
