General Pest Control in Linn, Miami and Anderson Counties
Get help with ants in the kitchen, spiders, wasps and other covered household pests. Our Year-Round Pest Protection Plan is $199 initial plus $36/month for eligible homes under 3,000 square feet, with three planned visits a year and covered-pest callbacks. Monthly billing does not mean monthly visits. Initial cockroach cleanouts and flea treatments are separate; ongoing cockroach protection starts after an infestation is corrected. Based in La Cygne, our team confirms your property, coverage and price before arranging service.
What's Actually Getting Into Homes in Linn, Miami, Anderson, Bates and Cass Counties
Living out here means dealing with a predictable cycle of pests throughout the year. We understand the challenges homeowners face in Linn, Miami, Anderson, Bates and Cass counties.
As spring arrives, ants often become a nuisance, first appearing in garages and quickly moving to kitchens. Summer brings the unwelcome sight of wasps building nests under eaves and on decks. From August through October, stink bugs and boxelder bugs search for warm places to spend the winter, and your home often looks like an inviting option. Fall is when mice begin their quest for shelter, exploring every gap and crack around your foundation. And year-round, spiders are a constant presence.
We know that rural properties, especially those on larger lots or near wooded areas, tend to experience heavier pressure from ants and spiders. Homes situated near water, such as those in communities around the La Cygne Lake and the Marais des Cygnes bottoms can have increased moisture issues that draw certain pests indoors. Older homes and farmhouses with crawl spaces are particularly vulnerable to various invaders. These property conditions are what shape the treatment plan at each home.
The Year-Round Pest Protection Plan
The Year-Round Pest Protection Plan is our primary general pest service. It is simple to understand and built to keep your home protected all year. The plan includes three scheduled visits per year, timed for spring, summer and fall. Your initial service counts as the first of those three visits. Monthly billing keeps payments predictable; it does not mean monthly service.
Your Initial Service includes:
- Interior inspection
- Interior treatment as needed
- Exterior perimeter treatment
- Cobweb removal
- Reachable wasp nest removal
- Foundation inspection
- Straight answers about what we found and what to expect
- A digital service report sent when the work is done
Each Planned Visit (spring, summer and fall) includes:
- Exterior perimeter treatment
- Cobweb removal
- Reachable wasp nest removal
- Foundation inspection
- Spot interior treatment anytime you ask, or anytime activity calls for it
- A digital service report sent when the work is done
Why exterior-first? Most pest problems start outside, so that's where we stop them. We treat interiors deliberately: on your first visit, whenever pests show up inside, or anytime you ask. We don't spray the inside of your home out of habit, because good pest control means the right product, in the right place, at the right time.
What's covered? Common household pests such as ants, spiders, wasps and other crawling invaders are covered. Ongoing cockroach protection is included after an initial infestation has been corrected. Active cockroach infestations and flea treatments require a separate quote.
No long-term contracts. Service continues visit-to-visit, and you can cancel anytime. We keep customers by being worth keeping.
And it's all backed by the Snow Service Promise: if covered pests return between planned visits, simply contact us and we will return to retreat affected areas at no additional charge.

Spider Control for Homes, Garages and Basements
Seeing spiders in the house or finding new webs around the porch? Tell us where you are seeing them and how often. A spider in a garage calls for a different assessment than repeated sightings in bedrooms or stored belongings.
Spiders feed on other insects. Gaps around doors and windows, cluttered storage and insect activity can all contribute to the problem. Reducing hiding places, repairing screens and addressing the insects they feed on can help alongside treatment. A brown spider is not automatically a brown recluse; identification matters before deciding what to do. If you can safely take a clear photo without handling it, that can help us assess your concern.
Our general pest service includes inspection, cobweb removal, exterior treatment and interior treatment when activity calls for it. We explain what we find and where treatment is needed. Tell us about suspected brown recluse activity so we can assess the extent of the problem and explain the recommended approach.
Cockroach Control and Initial Cleanouts
Roaches around the kitchen sink, cabinets or appliances deserve a closer look. Repeated sightings, small roaches and dark specks near hiding places can indicate an indoor infestation. Cockroaches can arrive in boxes, used items or from adjoining units; even a clean home can develop a problem.
An active infestation needs an initial cockroach cleanout, quoted separately from the Year-Round Pest Protection Plan. We inspect to identify the cockroaches, locate activity and assess how far the problem has spread. Your quote explains the treatment scope, preparation and any planned follow-up before work begins.
Treatment is matched to the inspection findings. Keeping food sealed, addressing leaks and providing access to affected areas helps the process. Let us know what sprays or foggers you have already used, and ask before adding products during treatment. Roach control can take follow-up work; we explain what to expect for your situation.
Ongoing cockroach protection under the general pest plan begins after the initial infestation has been corrected.

When Each Planned Visit Happens
Spring visit. The reset for the year. Ants are waking up, overwintering pests are moving back out, and the perimeter barrier from last fall has weathered. This visit re-establishes the exterior treatment before the heavy season starts, and it is when our technicians look hardest for termite evidence and moisture problems.
Summer visit. Peak activity. Wasp and hornet nests get knocked down and treated, cobwebs and egg sacs come off the eaves, and the perimeter gets renewed against ants and spiders while pressure is highest.
Fall visit. This visit targets seasonal invaders such as stink bugs and boxelder bugs before winter. We also inspect the foundation for conditions that may let pests in. Rodent monitoring and entry-point sealing are separate services.
Scheduled visits take place in spring, summer and fall, with no routine visits in December, January or February. Your coverage continues during winter. If a covered pest returns between scheduled visits, contact us for a retreatment at no additional charge.
What This Program Does Not Cover
Flea treatments, initial cockroach infestation cleanouts, rodent control and exclusion work are separately quoted. The general pest plan also excludes termites, mosquitoes or ticks. Those are separate, habitat-focused services with their own approach. If mice are getting in every year, the permanent answer is usually exclusion work rather than more rodent baiting. We will tell you honestly which of these you actually need and which you do not.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions about our services
We treat common household pests such as ants, spiders, wasps, crickets and other crawling insects. The Year-Round Pest Protection Plan includes ongoing cockroach protection after an initial infestation is corrected. Flea treatments, initial cockroach cleanouts, termites, rodents, mosquitoes, ticks and exclusion work are separate services. We explain the scope and price before work begins.
Pests flock to homes in and around La Cygne, KS, primarily seeking food, water, and shelter. Forgotten crumbs, unsealed food, and pet dishes left out are big invitations. Leaky pipes, damp basements, or even a pet's water bowl can offer needed hydration. For shelter, pests seek cozy spots like cracks, cluttered areas, or undisturbed storage. Our local environment, with its changing seasons and nearby fields, often pushes pests indoors for warmth or relief from heat and rain. Small openings around your home can be an open door for them.
Some pests are mainly a nuisance, while others can sting, contaminate food or damage belongings. The risk depends on the pest and the situation. We identify the problem and explain practical next steps. Keep your distance from active stinging-insect nests and contact us for an assessment.
At Snow Pest Solutions, we start with a detailed inspection to identify exactly what pests you have, where they are living, how they are getting in and how large the problem is. Our technicians then apply targeted treatments matched to those pests at every stage of their life cycle, using products and methods chosen with your family and pets in mind. We finish by explaining what we found and what you can do to keep pests from coming back.
Results depend on the pest, treatment and level of activity. Many customers notice less activity within a few days, while some problems need follow-up work. We explain what to expect after your service. If a covered pest returns between scheduled plan visits, contact us for a retreatment at no additional charge.
Yes. Spiders are included in our general pest coverage. The service includes cobweb removal and treatment based on the activity found. Contact us about recurring sightings between planned visits. Suspected brown recluse activity should be assessed so we can explain the appropriate treatment scope.
Web removal is one part of the process. Spiders may remain in hiding places or enter through gaps, and some hunt without using a prey-catching web. Inspection, reducing insect activity and addressing access or storage conditions help guide treatment.
An existing cockroach infestation requires a separately quoted initial cleanout. Ongoing cockroach protection starts after that infestation has been corrected. We explain the scope and price before beginning work.
It depends on the species, the extent of activity and the property. Some situations need follow-up visits. We confirm the recommended work in your quote and explain preparation and what to watch for afterward.
